Santa Rosa Coin Show Pickup...........1967 Washington Clipper
A nice 5% Double Clip Washington (weighs in at 5.4 grams):

That dark spot looks like wear but I don't think it is. Under the scope I can see no trace of wear but a definite weakness in the strike at that particular location. You can also see that same effect and coloring between the lettering on the reverse.
The big clip is also strange in that the lettering cuts off very sharply on the obverse but the reverse lettering definitely shows a weakness that tells me its genuine. The letters STATES are not filled to their true stroke width due to a lack of metal flow.
The price was VERY right!

I decided to change calling the bathroom the John and renamed it the Jim. I feel so much better saying I went to the Jim this morning.

U.S. Type Set
<< <i>You know, its funny, when I went to the Livermore show I could not find anything good so I bought a clipped washington quarter as well. >>
How Funny! This one was in a "Bargain" binder that had a bunch of clips and odds and ends. The price was right so I picked it up.
I also found a 1959 Mint Set with a Type B Reverse Washington in it but I didn't think it would go better than a 63 so I passed. He's up against the left wall if anybody is looking for a Type B Reverse 1959 in a mint set.
The "Bargain" binder dealer was up against the right hand wall. I didn't get a name for either dealer, sorry.
