So great idea for a game FilthyBroke; or should I say, adaptation of a game (hat tip to LM).

Since you asked about a name, maybe we could get some ideas in this thread while your game
careens backwards into numismatic history.

So far "The Dating Game" ...... "Go Back" ....... "The Step Back in Time" have been suggested.

Hopefully the game will get a name before we wind up back a Weiss' avatar.

I'll let someone else address how were gonna get back that far.

Contango is a term used in the futures market to describe an upward sloping forward curve (as in the normal yield curve). One says that such a forward curve is "in contango" (or sometimes "contangoed").

Formally, it is the situation where, and the amount by which, the price of a commodity for future delivery is higher than the spot price, or a far future delivery price higher than a nearer future delivery.

The opposite market condition to contango is known as backwardation.

Cointango is good, too. Except we're going backwards in the game, so it's backwardation. Just doesn't have the same ring as "cointango".

Hey, guys! Glad to see that my game is picking up interest! Too bad I wasn't around but it was an interesting read this morning!

I think that I'll go with SrSpuds original suggestion, The Dating Game. I'd have done a poll or something, but that takes time (and knowledgs of setting up polls)

I edited MrSpuds' suggestion into the title. Thanks to all who have made suggestions, I know it was a tough one to come up with (all I could think of was "declining years" or something embarrassingly strange like that)
