    Yum-o!

Stown, have fun at the games tonight.
Is Texas the late game or early game? Hope they're the early one because I'll be watching KU play the late game on TV, and won't get to see Texas if they're also the late game.

Although, a bed of krout would be acceptable.

Texas is the early game, starts at 6:30 CST.

    I'll start drinking about noon.

Thanks for the sugestion, I think I will head to Portillos (In Addison) for lunch as well, not the best hot dog in Chicago but the best franchise hot dog in Chicago area by far! I also believe there is a Portillos in California opened by an actor from Will & Grace. Order it with everything and enjoy!!

Hotdog is not complete without onions. There are two rules to hotdogs 1. Onions 2. NO Ketchup anything else is fair game.

I like mine with peanut butter and onions

gumby - That is a sweet looking dog
  • Mustard. Chilli, Cheese and Relish.. Maybe onions and Jalapenos depening on mood.
  • Oh yeah the cake shakes rock!!! I used to work at Portillos, I loved it when the store closed and I got to raid the extras!!! Here was my famous creation.

Big Beef Combo Sandwich. This sandwhich was a 9 inch beef sandwhich with 2 Italian sausages in it. Than I dipped the whole thing in the gravy, loaded it with Mozz, Chedder, and Cheese Sauce, than topped it with hot peppers!!! I am surprised I am not dead.

I used to work at Martino's Italian Beef in Milwaukee and did the same thing just about every night I worked...only with 1 sausage. They're the best Chicago style hotdog / italian beef place in Milwaukee. It's not the same as the real thing 60 miles to the south, but it's close.
  • Grossest dog I have ever seen was when I was manager for Sonic several years back had a guy who would order a XL Hot Dog with Chocolate Syrup on it

  • Since my wife is an ex-Chicagoan, I quickly learned to appreciate Portillos Chicago style hot dogs. Every time we visit her sister in Westmont, we hit the nearest Portillos. However, being a southern boy, my usual hot dog toppings are mustard, chili, onions, and cole slaw, the classic 'Slaw dog'. image

We will leave that to Only the 10's. Maybe he can do it for me
  • Kraut and ketchup.

I know, never put ketchup on hot dogs.

Sweet Bermuda onions aren't bad, either.

    A gastrointestinal delight.

Not so great for a first date.

Can't beat them - way better than the Coney Islander and I'm from NY!

Sounds like a major crisis to me - good luck.

you guy put some weird stuff on your dogs.

I am quitting lunch because of it, I will only be eating brunch and lupper.
  • Suprisingly nobody has mentioned putting Mayo on a dog. There is a local resturant that makes a killing with their chilli cheese dogs and they use Mayo.. Its not too bad, but I still prefer mustard.

I went to a bowling alley that had some pretty good food - they put brown gravy on the french fries!

That was probably one of the oddest combos I've seen.

    Not bad BTW.

Mayo on a dog is like putting grease on grease.

    same with bologna.

    yuck

    Steve
    Good for you.
  • Brown Gravy on French Fries is good.. Depends on how the gravy is made though too.

All this talk of hot dogs made me just have one!

    Grey poupon and relish!

I fired up the grill and blackened that baby.

    mmmmmmm was good.

    I'll restart my diet tomorrow.

    Steve
    Good for you.
