ebay question..........help please.

I made an offer on a coin that is in a regular auction, the seller accepted, how should he end the auction so it does not go outside of ebay,
I am using paypal, he has a return policy, we both want to be protected.......thanks

If you used the "Best Offer" option and he accepted, then the auction is already ended.
  • If there are no bids yet, and there isnt a BIN option, he can add one.
imageQuid pro quo. Yes or no?
  • If there was no "best offer" made available, ask him to make it a "Buy it Now" and be sure he does it when you're there to buy!

    ^^^^Yeah, what rg said!^^^^

Have bought and sold on BST, many references available when asked.

It sounds to me like there are bids, then what?

Let the bidder bid his offer and then end the auction early with him as the winner.

Only problem with that approach is that the proxy bid system doesn't show the current high bidder's max bid. If the OP places a bid of his offer amount, neither seller nor OP will know if his offer amount trumps the current high bidder until the bid is posted.

  • I'd recommend giving him a negative review if things don't work out...that seems like the only recourse on ebay.
