Cutoff date? Hell, I wish the mint would just ship the darn things!

I ordered them about 4 seconds after they went on sale, and they still haven't gone out!

Quite the business model they got going, talk about a presale, seems like everything they offer they can't ship for several weeks...
  • I told them to cancel my order for 4 and two weeks later they ship them anyways.image
  • Not sure, but I'm still waiting for mine.
  • Got my 25 yesterday...

(and they were all in their boxes...amazing)

Subscriptions (pre-orders) should go out before any others image
  • Mine was a subscription but arrived much faster 'cuz they came by FedEx overnight

They went on sale on March 17th so the cutoff for First Strike™ should be April 15th (30 Days including the 17th) or April 16th (30 Days excluding the 17th).

    And my 10 shipped yesterday.
I decided to change calling the bathroom the John and renamed it the Jim. I feel so much better saying I went to the Jim this morning.

    Thanks Lee

For anyone wondering, the quickest way to get these when they come out is via the subscription program.

I have a subscription for five and got them a couple of days ago. Didn't open them up until this morning. I was debating whether I should just send them back because of the drop in the price of silver. The debate was over when I looked at the first one--just gorgeous.(and I hate that word). They aren't going anyplace.

So now I have a question. What determines the difference between a "69" and a "70"? I'm sure I'm not the only one who thinks his/her coins are "perfect". Just what is it that one should look for in particular the ASE's whether they are proof or burnished, or ms. Thanks.

69 v. 70? This topic has been debated and fought over in many threads in this forum. 69s are usually obvious, 70s in the eye of the beholder.

Personally I have found that I coin will not go at 70 if there is a pinpoint luster break (very small shiny spot) or if there is any damage to the inside of the rim as it faces the field of the coin - in other words the inner border of the rim. Let us not forget the infamous milkspots!

Obviously other strike issues or "hits" will possibly drop the grade to a 68, or heaven forbid, lower.
