Perhaps they are 'upgrading' their computers?

This is getting to be a habit with APMEX. Uncertainty and inconsistency.
Bear Stearns had the same issue. I will go elsewhere.

    not getting through here either

There's the "moonshine" again. Hic, howz by you Mr Moonshine? image

IF they have redone the website and/or are transfering the hosting to a new server or company , you could conceivably get a page cannot be displayed for a few moments while the dns relocates. Could be down for a few hours. Usually if you are using a professional and a quality host, a few minutes at most.

If this were my company, heads would be rolling.

  • As far as I know they took their site down on the 19th to upgrade it and were
also sold out on most silver bullion items. Since then, they have had a single page
displayed about it. Now it looks like someone might of snagged their domain name or
    something?

Their site is back up for me, with the basic one page front from the 19th.

Perhaps a small power outage? My guess...server went down for a bit. This is based on my amazing grasp of the obvious.

  • I just got the one pager also.

I received emails from them today that my orders had been shipped.

    Heheh, not I Mr Moonshine.

Long long time ago however..........I spent most of my 20's on Ft Lauderdale beach image

  • moonshinemoonshine Posts: 1,039 ✭✭
ya I grew up on the beach also, and don't indulge anymore . . . if you notice the icon, I am a 'different' kind of 'moon' - shine --- but if the fed were to go down, as some say on the fed going down thread, it might be a handy business to be in.

Now, here's a place you could go to buy bullion...

    Brutal on the eyes website

Try looking for some item...then put into your cart. Yowch! I'm not certain my vision will be the same!

(I say this, but i've gotten some bullion from them via eBay auctions at a great price as well as a nice reasonably priced MS61 half eagle...i'm happy...and Reno is closer to me than many other places)
