Why do you question it? Aside from the $399 price tag which is high, I don't see anything that stands out.

Thanks, it is the first time I've seen such a huge slab, pic is fuzzy so I can't read the #
Thanks for the heads up on the price though, much appreciated

    Looks right, to me.

I would NOT pay $200 for it.

I saw some PSA/DNA Perez-Steele stuff for just over $200, last week
at a small show. The guy would have taken less, if somebody bought
    them all.

    Sure does look nice !

That is a nice Mickey Mantle Fleer Jersey card too !

Are you making an offer for the sig ?

  • Looks legit to me but I agree with everyone else that the price seems high for a cut signature. You can find legit Mantle sigs on better items at that price. You could get a good signed photo or maybe a signed ball for that price. I'd bet this guy would come down if you did some negotiating with him. Personally, I'm in the market for a signed Mantle ball. I'm doing as much research as possible to make sure I get one that is legit. A PSA authentication is a good sign that it's legit but I try my best to ask the seller as much as possible to try to get some of the item's history and get a feel for whether or not the seller's answers make sense. It pays to be a bit skeptical when buying autographs.

Good luck if you decide to pursue this item. A Mantle signature is always a nice addition to any collection.

For me , I like the team signed baseballs over the single signed .

I know the singles bring more money , but when you have him there with his whole team , to me that is really something special .

A nice 51 team signed Mickey Mantle is a great baseball to own , he didn't sign on the sweet spot or anything and his signature is usually small , but that is his rookie year and Joe Dimaggio's final .

His signature is completely different than his later years sigs , so much different in fact that someone only used to his later sigs might call it fake .

I agree, and for me it also adds credibility to the auto when all the guys are there.

On a side note, I paid $400 at the Sun times show for a PSA 8.5 single signed ball that is fantastic. They routinely get $400+ on ebay so I was happy with the purchase. now if I could just add Teddy ballgame and Joltin' Joe, I'd feel better about my single signed ball collection.
