These shiny round things can be expensive

And you thought I meant coins.

For the past 6 yrs I have been dating a wonderful woman. She has put up with me and my antics for longer than any
other person probably would have, she even tolerates my talking to you guys on the coin forum (or as she says, GEEK FORUM).
Well my and her life have finally settled down enough (school, practice building etc) to take the next step.

Some of you may have realized that I have been parting with some of my coins recently. A good deal of the reason behind it was
to allow me to purchase this shiny gold object. I never understood how most women go crazy over these shiny round objects, yet show no interest at all in
round shiny object when they come in the shape of coins. I thank those on the board who have purchased some of them, give them a good home.

Anyway I have parted with some great coins, granted I parted ways with some of them to fund my growing bust half addiction, however, all in all
I think they were sacrificed for a great cause.. Anyway when she heard that I sold some of my coins to fund this she was truely touched
and then said "I hope you didn't sell too many, I know you really enjoy those." Right there I knew I had made the right decision and once again
shows coins are replaceable but love isn't.

to keep this coin related I am posting a pic of the coin I will miss most from my selling spree of the last year.
The profit from this trade dollar went a long way twords this ring and also bought me some great bust halves.

You are starting off on the right foot, and in the right direction (although I must say that that Trade Dollar is/was pretty nice!)

She will be thrilled to know that she is now a member of the Geek Forum by proxy! Congrats!!

Go figure. I guess it had to happen one day. He's probably much more socially-adept than the rest of the herd.image

Actually the initial layout for the shiny round thing pictured is a relatively small part of the total cost of the venture. --Jerry
