Jefferson reverse of 1938 question...

I picked up an unc. 1939-D today that has the reverse of 1938...how rare is this reverse on the 1939-D?

  • Not that rare, but less common than the '40 reverse. About a third of the "D" mints are rev. of '38. If the steps are full, then of course it would be worth more.
