Forum policy/etiquette regarding "For Sale" type threads

I have a group of slabbed Mexico coins I'd like to offer for sale. I've seen other threads here which were of the "for sale" variety and have purchased from a couple of them, but I'm not quite sure what the accepted policy is when it comes to starting such a thread. I know (not from personal experience, thankfully) if you start one on the US forum, you'll get your azz handed to you at lightspeed, but this forum seems to have a bit more of a laid-back approach to the practice.

So... assuming such a thread is acceptable here (and if not, please let me know), are there any hints/guidelines for starting one so as not to cause any trouble?

I would just start the title of the thread with SSP (shameless self promotion). That way people can identify it and look or pass as they see fit

And I would follow that with a brief description such as "Slabbed Mexican", or "Chinese Cash", so those with no interest in the category will be forewarned.
