    Tomorrow.

    What is it?

New sellers who don’t yet have DSR ratings are also eligible. DSR rating criteria for this promotion will be based on the previous 12 months. To see your DSR ratings, go to your Feedback Profile within My eBay. For more information on DSRs, click here. Please refer to "What's Excluded?" for more details.

    When is it?

This promotion starts at midnight Pacific Time on Tuesday, March 25, 2008 at 00:00:01 PT (12:00 AM plus one second on Tuesday, March 25, 2008) and ends on Tuesday, March 31 at 23:59:59 PT (11:59 PM plus 59 seconds).

    What are the fees?

I think they are doing just fine. Ever since they lowered the insertion fees it's hard to wade through all of the **** to find the good stuff. What they need is some serious competition to knock them back a few steps.

A lot of hoopla for 14 cents worth of savings. Wish they would do a 1 cent FVF.

Yeah image very similar to what I was thinking when I read it just a bit ago in my ebay messages image

I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment

Not to change the subject, but can anyone tell me where to find this? I have looked high and low and can not find anything on "My Ebay" page titled Feedback profile. I have over 1500 feedback and when I look at my feedback it shows that 21 people have left DSR's. I can see the stars, but I can't find any numerical score (like 4.7, 4.8, etc). Where do I find that?

    Thanks, CCG

Their statement is confusing. You're in the correct location, just hover over each and it will show you the number.

Let the cr@pfest begin. I, for one, will be searching my stuff for cr@p that I can list for a cent. Perhaps some lint from my floor that looks like a cornflake?

Perhaps I should get my Very Best Cents together...and list 'em at face!

    (edit...can't use nasty language...sorry! l@@k!!!)
  • I think they should start that 1 cent fee from $9.99 and not $.99 I could list alot more..I take to much of a beating when the stuff only sells for $.99

For me, its not about the price..........its about the service or lack of.

Funny how they never seem to have a "sale" on final value fees or PayPal fees.
  • 291fifth291fifth Posts: 24,543 ✭✭✭✭✭
This sale may be an indication that sellers are no longer listing "cheap" items due to the recent final value fee increases. eBay may now be realizing that the lack of these listings, most of which sold and actually generated some final value revenue, is hurting their bottom line.

eBay is not benevolent. When they offer a sale it probably means they need to generate revenue.

I am way down on my buying and selling. I am on a semi-strike. Selling and buying ONLY on an as need basis.

Oh, I'm sure. But the "sale" on listing fees is a bunch of hype because you save almost nothing AND you have more competition up for sale against you.

It's sort of like a car dealer hyping a "sale" to pay 5% of your sales tax burden on the purchase of a new car. On a $20,000 car with $1,000 in sales tax, you get a whole $50 off.

I suspect we'll start seeing "corn flake doctors" reshaping corn flakes into something recognizable. And this will become such a problem that PCFS ("Professional Corn Flake Service") will come into being so they can bodybag altered corn flakes and encpsulate ones that really DID look like the state of Illinois right out of the box.

eBay is only concerned with their ultimate bottom line (as they should as a fiduciary requirement for their shareholders), though their recent SEC filings might indicate they don't do that so well. Sellers should only look out for themselves and evaluate what is ultimately good for them. eBay is never going to do that.

I am mulling over listing frivilous garbage just to clutter up eBay. I don't think they can boot me because of that even if I disparage eBay in the text description. (Actually, they do whatever they want to but I don't think they would boot me.) Not sure though if it would make my reputation as a seller look bad.

What would be the FS cutoff each year?
