  • I watched a couple coins on my watchlist go for 1/3 to 1/2 their value last night. Too many of them for me to pick them all up.

  • You should have told me. I was online setting up several more auctions and watching 11 of them end. I did pretty well despite the holiday but they are 7 day listings. I list Sunday to Sunday and I like to have them end on a holiday. Once company leaves doesn't everyone head to the computer?

Nope, unfortunately I was out to Easter Dinner as I suspect a good percentage of the U.S. was.

My next auction ends on Thursday so while I did not get any deals I did not provide any deals either. image

Makes me wish I thought to load the snipe software, as we were out having dinner with friends last night.

Thanks. This is a nice site. I am NOT stalking you.

  • I picked up two coins a MS and Proof NGC 69's 2008 Kangaroo $'s for about half price, much less than I expected to pay.

I was watching slabbed generic gold coins and nothing went cheap.
The one I wanted the most went for 35% over bid (old holder). Nothing was being given away in gold that I could see.

I was able to snipe a good deal on one at about half of book value. Just a cheapie though, I owe my uncle to much right now to go for anything good.

  • I never list auctions to end on Sundays. They statistically achieve the lowest end price of all days of the week. I found this out using Hammertap, a software program that tracks auctions.

Yes. I took a beating on most of my stuff having only realized on Tuesday that Easter was on my closing date! image

It was a great giveaway though!

Well, I only took about a $100 beating, could have been much worse, I'm a circ Lincoln guy, so it was frustrating, but it makes up for all the coins I stole during the superbowl I guess, lol

BTW, I have cheated Ebay out of about $105 in fees and commisions since the site went live, so that helps too.

Yeehawwwwww, 4 sales orders and 20 coins sold already, 1st week live. This is going to be fun.

I stopped looking after I sold a 23 coin roll of IKE's for $22.75 imageimageimageimage

Couple that with the eBay listing and FVF along with Paypal fee's and I'm thinking I should have just gone to the bank!

I don't think it really matters anymore when you have an auction end.

Snipe services have helped out in that regard.

    Good for you.

Except that many people do not shop all auctions, only those that are ending soon. If those people are missing, the end result is lower ending prices.

  • I only had 3 inexpensive coins end Easter Sunday. They did as least as well as similar coins did earlier.

Lee, next time you want dollar for dollar, just let me know!

We had a few end cheap too. It's nice to have a giveaway on holidays, it spreads a spirit of good will. Maybe they'll come back with real money later?
