1997 legends football autograph set

Local has the (near) complete set he is piecing out by beckett book value. Doesn't have the $1000 cards but has nearly everyone else. Any cards that are great buys at book price and sell for a ton more for some odd reason? or any that anyone desperately needs at book value for their sets, etc? I bought this one for $50 (book price,) I see they sell for like $30 on ebay but whatever, it is a cool card. 7x title winner, deceased, on card auto, popular set, surprised it's only $30.

    For what it's worth...

I don't collect football, and a couple of years ago I acquired a couple dozen of these in a group purchase. I sold a couple of the cheaper ones at book ($15) but everything else went for 50-80% of book. It seems to be a popular set and if I DID collect football I'd probably pick this as one of the sets to collect as it's got a great simple design and contains just about every living (at the time) football great you'd want.

I priced at book with Best Offer. Not a huge amount of action.

I would be interested in the Nitschke for my PC if it is available.

    Thanks!

I would think a Graham auto would command much more.
  • Ammanfan- BTW, that is a great Graham auto. The 97 Legends set is so underated. The photography on each card captures the the essence of the period the player competed in. Check out the Lynn Dickey #100 card. Great photo of him behind the Packer offensive line on a snowy Lambaeu.
