  • Full Coin Pics

Its not the best tool for imaging the whole slab or whole coin in my opinion.

I liked the product when I first saw it on the boards, but when I saw it in person and asked about full slabs it just did not make any sense

  • One of the models has a extended working distance and recomends a stand.
Would this increase the field of view to capture the entire coin?

The price for an AM413TL (20x~92X) Enhanced working distance (5.7"~1.9") is
    $469/ea

  • I agree it may not be the best device on the market hands down.
But if you can't spend big bucks on an SLR cammera, and or want the range of full slab to microscopic. Can you get anything better for the money?

Getting the full slab isn't the easiest thing, but can be done, with the cheaper model dinolite.

You can get better pics than alot of ebay sellers use now. A better stand and stand alone lighting, may make up any difference.
With the right stand you might be able to have a cheap didital cammera on one side, and the dinolite on the other.
