And those rookies ended up doing pretty well... Gonzo went on to win a ring with AZ, Tuffy (I think that's him) has the single season HR record in Japan or something, and Bags... Well, he was the best player of his generation that didn't resort to taking any PEDs.
PS - I so want that "Rookie Threats" card, pretty please.
Astros are the exact opposite of the Padres. All the hitting in the world with little pitching (outside of the Great Roy Oswalt)
Will be a fun year for Astros fans hopefully.

Look, I'm a big Bagwell fan. I thought he was a class guy and a hell of a good player. I would also agree that he was one of the best players of his generation. I think he's definitely a hall of famer - no arguement. he would have had 30-40 more HR's if he didn't play in the Astrodome for so long...(and you knew it was coming)...BUT
I'm not accusing anyone of anything, but I don't know how we can give any player in the 90's a pass on the potential for having used PEDs. Not singling out Bagwell here but all of the players from 1990-pres are tainted in my mind. MLB has become a culture of guilty until proven innocent and there is no way to ever prove yourself innocent.

And what's even more random, yankeeno7 asked about Deshaies a couple of days ago.
Homeboy has a sweet dome.
Go Astros (until they meet the Red Sox of course)

that and more. He can handle the bat as well. You will be pleasantly surprized.

This one went for $178.
I had a snipe at $107.50, since there was one that sold for $100 and change a week or two before that.
It was going to be a birthday present for myself.
edited for 2 reasons
1) had to change the emphasis word.
2) btw - sweet freaking card, zep
