HELP....identify this token!

I have no idea what this is. It is about the size of a US cent, but thinner. I think it is brass. It could be foreign, my father may have brought it home from his travels in WWII. Can anyone ID it?

My gut feeling is central Europe circa WW One.

It is not exactly cheating, I prefer to consider it creative problem solving!!!

Alpert lists an "F/5" as San Francisco California in the 1984 edition but it's not listed under the city.

Perhaps a later edition corrects this error.

If it is an amusement token it would be an old one.

According to my computer, F5 = Refresh. So I guess it is a Refresh token. imageimageimage

Thanks for the responses. I have always wondered what it was used for.
