Help, blank Kennedy Planchet? I don't think so.

I bought this off eBay as a blank Kennedy 50c planchet. It's not though because:

- It only weighs 9.60 grams (should be ~11.34 if today's composition).
- It's slightly smaller in diameter than a Kennedy Half.
- It's thicker than a Kennedy Half
- It has rings, like the cross-section of a tree trunk.

Any ideas?

  • Definitely not a blank planchet
  • turned down from a struck coin.. imho.
edit: messed the thicker part, but I stand by it being turned from a larger piece.
