About 3 weeks ago I am having dinner in Miami with a friend and his friend. The entire night the friend of my friend is talking about properties he has in NYC and Miami and whatnot. I am pretty sure that this guy is full of it but obviously can't be sure. Conversation turns into about cards somehow and I tell them about PSA and grading etc. The guy is like yeah, i have a ton of cards. "Bunch" of mantle rookies and 2 1957 topps sets all graded PSA 9. Now since we are on a topic where I can finally call him out.. I look at him and say.. You have 2 1957 topps sets in PSA 9? He says, yeah.. I say.. "No you don't".. And give him a brief explanation on why I know he is lying (pop report, set registry)..
He says, yeah i do, you can come look at them one day.. I dont push any further and we go onto our next topic..
Just thought I would share...

I was telling my friend the whole night.. Who is this kid? He is so full of it..
Anytime a place came up in conversation.. He had a house there. (NY,Miami, Dominican, Jamaica)
I have a guy at work who is like that. not necessarily "topping" you all the time, but he always has a story similar to yours and has to tell it. He'll even interrupt you to make sure you hear.

<< <i>Did you ask him if they were master sets or basic? >>
He'd probably say "I've got 2 of each!"

I'll go ahead and grant him his dilusions - since right now, it seems that's all he has?
Happy Easter everyone!
