Topps Picture Variations

Does anyone know where one could find a list of all the Topps Picture variations for baseball and football? I'm referring to actually two different photos used for the same player card. I'm not even sure which years this may have occured. I do Topps baseball in 1962 has a few (I think I have a Carl Willey variation). I just ran across a 1974 Topps Football variation the other day (#49 Bob Windsor). This really made me curious if anyone knew a whole lot about this or had a master Topps list. Again, I'm looking for completely different pictures for the same card, not necessarily errors or color variations (like the 82 blueless or 1963 football color differences). If anyone can add any information on this it would be very helpful. Thanks!

For other years if you google Topps variations OBC has checklists.

    Also for Bowman too.

For pictures did you try the registry?

Also you could use the registry to get info like that by checking sets that have basic and master.

I'm betting your '74 Football variation is because it's a card from that board game. It's been discussed here before, I'm sure one of the Football guys can fill in the details.

I believe there are two distinct Clay Dalrymple cards in the '69 Baseball set, along with a few other players.

That would be the 1974 Parker Brothers Pro Draft. The checklist for the regular 1974 Topps has #49 as "Bob Windsor (Horizontal pose)", whereas the PB set shows "Bob Windsor (Vertical pose; 1972 stats; two asterisk before TCG on back)".

    Good catch by GDM67!

Also the BK sets use different pics and the cards appear the same.

I think the OP was asking about mainstream sets?

I havent collected Topps card isince the early 80's, but I do remember some 1962 had some pose changes in the green tint cards, and the 1969 #151 Dalrymple has 2 different poses. FWIW

Clendennon may have 2 as well in the 69 set,

The site I went to lists them all by the way.

Thanks guys for the info. I was pretty sure about the 62 set, but had no idea on those two 69 cards.

Wow, really interesting about the Parker Brothers Pro Draft game! I remember that, wonder why Topps would issue two different cards for that.

Does anyone know of any other regular issues like this? I did know the BK sets did that. Thanks!

'69 Clendennon is not a pose variation. They changed the team designation, but used the same picture (head shot).
