do serious, superstitious, collectors carry a lucky coin in their pocket?

How many of you carry a "lucky" coin in your pocket? image

It might be interesting to have a holed coin on a key chain, but nope, no coin.

I've got a holed Kennedy half on my keychain and a $2 bill in the zippered part of my wallet.
The only way I'd be lucky is if I spent all my regular cash and was forced to turn to those for payment of some sort.

I have two holed coins on my keychain: an 1822 CBH as 22 is my lucky number and a 3CN that I came across for cheap. They're great conversation starters. More than one person couldn't believe I had a 180+ year old object just dangling on my keys...

  • I carry a ASE in my pocket. I do not know about luck but many years ago my Father gave me a Silver Dollar to carry in my pocket. He said there were anti vagrant laws and with that I would not be broke.

Yours is the subject of many stupid emails from my friends telling me to boycott the U.S. Mint for not putting "GOD" on the coins anymore.

Imagine what would happen if they purposely removed IGWT? Would heads roll in Congress?

I carry an encased cent in a 2x2 in my wallet. It looks like this one, slightly different design:

This challenge coin of mine proved to be my lucky object a couple of years ago. I got hit crossing the street at night, went airborne, had lacerations, hairline spinal fracture and generally banged up. But, at 59 then, it could have been a lot worse. My friend who witnessed the accident thought I was definately dead. I always carried it in case I just happened to be in a bar and got challenged by another military person.

My coin du jour is a 1923 Germany 500 Million Mark inflationary coin issue to remind me how much fiat money can lose their buying power.
