Tax Refund is In! What to buy? Need suggestions...
Alright guys, just checked my online banking for the umpteenth day in a row and finally my tax refund was direct deposited!
$1263
As much as I'm tempted to just go blow it all on coins, I know better. Plenty of debt I need to work on paying down and this will
contribute to a big chunk of that. Car insurance is due in a couple weeks, etc.
But you still have to make yourself happy, right? SO, basically I'm going to tell myself I have $250-$300 limit for coins.
What should I buy in that range?
I'd like to finish up my UNC set of ASE's...but those are easy to grab at $20 bucks a piece whenever.

You could probably pick up a nice proof 1872 2 cent piece, or how about a 1955/55 Lincoln?

Buy Guns, Ammo, Tobacco & Alcohol. You will need this to barter with and SURVIVE the coming world crisis that is EMMINENT
GrandAm
<< <i> I was thinking a key date too, and if I don't see something I like in the $300 range, perhaps holding it and adding to it for a better key date in the future (if i actually find the patience to do so!) >>
That is what I am doing with my tax refund money. Saving up for a 1893S Morgan.
Good Luck whatever you do.
Of course, I don't get the refund because I'm claimed as a dependent, and my parents don't get the refund because I'm too old
How about the DogHouse ?
I have some Franklins
<< <i>Two words, "Scarcity" and "Eye appeal". With those two, you can't go wrong.
Now that's good numismatic meat to sink your teeth into !
If the economy completely tanks, those that have no debt will survive, those that have massive debt, may not be so lucky.
My suggestions.
1. Carry NO (nada, zilch) credit card debt.
2. Pay off ALL debt. (if you can't pay cash, do you REALLY need it?)
3. Have 6 months expenses saved and accessible.
4. Stockpile 6-12 months basic food stuffs (Flour, sugar, rice, beans, basic can goods)
Think you can't do it? That's what I thought 20 years ago. Today we owe NOTHING, Nada, Zilch. Amazing how much further your money goes when you are not paying interest on a taco dinner you ate 5 years ago.

<< <i>Would you beleive I had to mail a $2.00 check to pay my fed taxes....My CPA said they will forgive $1.00 but not $2.00... >>
Yup I believe it!! I did my own this year and remember reading that!
You know what else I love...I owed the state of Pennsylvania $12...sent in my check at the same time as I sent in my return to the Fed.
They cashed my check weeks ago and i JUST got the refund. Ain't Bureaucracy grand?
