How do they decide on where the All Star game is played each year?

I now this year is at Yankee stadium, but how do they decide each year?

    Pretty much.

    If you build a new stadium, that guarantees you one.
    So basically my kid won't be able to go to college, but at least I'll have a set where the three most expensive cards are of a player I despise ~ CDsNuts

    Generally they rotate AL and NL parks annually (but there are a few exceptions). Also, teams that recently have new stadiums or have not hosted in say two decades or more definetly get priority. I mean there are 30 teams/stadiums to choose from after all.

    PS: For 2009 my bet is on the new Senators (sorry, Nationals) stadium that opens this year.
