Anyone in the US able to acess the DNW site?

Just wondering if there was someone out there that has regular success getting onto the Dix Noonan site?
A few months ago I was able to get on the site once or twice--though it was very sluggish....now....nothing.
If there's anyone out there that could provide a bit of insight into this it would be much appreciated.

Thanks all!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, they seem to have been having problems rather frequently over the last 6 months - at one time I thought the firm itself may be in trouble and had asked about it in this forum. They really need to look into this because it being up only intermittantly is not good for them or us...

    Thanks for the replies.

Hey Farthing, are you in the US or elswhere.

Do you think that location or service provider have anything to do with it?
    Im in New Jersey
    Use Verizon
    Use Mozilla Firefox

If you have no prob getting on it and you don't mind me asking
    What ISP do you use,
    browser do you use?

Dlugosmi - Yes I was in the US when I tried - I use Qwest DSL with MSIE

I frequently have problems accessing the DNW site - I can go weeks at a time without access.

Firefox returns a "timed out" no found.

IE and Opera both return "Webpage not found"

I kinda think there is a problem at their server level.

Just got in now, nice and quick, through a T-Mobile hotspot. Firefox, as usual.

Will see what happens when I return home later and try my usual connection.

BTW, I've brought this problem to DNW's attention. If we can get a few more people posting to this thread, it may be useful.

And now I'm back home on my usual network connection and I can't get to DNW's site. Hope they can figure this out, because I can't!

Yes, and we do lose their auction schedule reminder section as well. Hope they can get it fixed but it has been a problem for quite some while now as has been stated.

Frankly, I've quit bothering to try to visit the site because of its intermittent quality. Websites really bug me when they do not generate, "zip-zoom" within seconds. Fast cable has its way of spoiling users.

    Posted on behalf of DNW:

    Dear Sir

We have received some complaints from US client unable to access our
web site. If anybody else has the same problem, please email
robin@dnw.co.uk and state your provider and we will contact them, or
try www.dixnoonanwebb.com. We are holding the official Coinex auction
this year on the 24/25 September which includes several important US
coins, so it is important to us that our American collectors and
dealers can access our site. I apologize for any inconvenience caused.

    Yours

I have noticed that I have much better luck accessing the DNW site after I went through the online proceedure my ISP provides to report problem sites. Before that I could never access the site from home, only from work.

I'm back to being unable to access the DNW site again tonight - wanted to look up the price realized on several lots from September.

I emailed Robin (thanks Andy!), lets see if I get a response.

I just tried and got in very fast.

Of course I am in Norway, not the USA so maybe that makes a difference. But I don't really
    understand why it should.
