Deangelo Hall & Raiders agree to $70 million deal

Seems to be a good fit for Oakland. Although I think I see him winding up like Moss, underperforming for a bad team, not happy and getting traded/cut halfway through the deal and costing the Raiders a big chunk of change. I don't predict him going to the Pats afterwards and setting records like Moss, though.

    You're exactly right. Simply put - this is not a good signing for the Raiders, except to possibly entice some fans to possibly buy season tickets - I can't see that working out in this situation for this player to be profitable for what they spent.

    Serious question, I honestly don't know...
    So basically my kid won't be able to go to college, but at least I'll have a set where the three most expensive cards are of a player I despise ~ CDsNuts

    The Raiders have always loved speed. Hall is fast, and he's a good corner. A 2nd Rd Pick was too much though. The contracts are always weird now, backloaded, frontloaded, not loaded at all.

    I bet the Raiders will pick McFadden, even with Fargas and Jordan. Oh wells. Russell better be damn good.
    Running an Ebay store sure takes a lot more time than a person would think!

    If you believe the rumors Jerry Jones wants McFadden badly and is willing to do almost anything to make a deal for that to happen.

    As I mentioned in another thread, I don't know how they can because of salary cap issues; they would have over $100MM tied up just between McFadden and Jessica Simpson's purse holder.

    However, I don't put anything past Darth Jerry, so who knows.

    Enjoy him out there!! He'll get burned for touchdowns over and over and have you wishing he wasn't there. He's all about himself. I'm glad to see him out of Atlanta.
