silver,tokens and more 3-18-08

worked a private property today with riccar and another guy. did fairly well i think. lots of iron, so we had to work it slow. the small coils seem to work best at these places.
top left: a small flat button with a maker i've never seen "MUSTER EINGTR". next ,a token with words only on 1 side. next, a good for 5 cents in trade for the silver cup. weird, never seen that one before.
2nd row; chinese cash coin, 1912s dime, shoe buckle.
3rd row: dollar sized solid silver pocket watch case, chinese marbles, some type of childrens watch, with the clock face enamled(spelling?)
yes i plan to go back, hopefully soon

    cool finds
  • I really like that button. You got some neat finds. image
  • I wonder how much silver I've thrown away over the years... probably not much, but I bet I have thrown away some.
That pocket watch lid was so pink-ish/brown, it definitely didn't look like silver.

I haven't had time to go through the finds from yesterday yet...

So I'm curious. When you guys are pulling out marbles, are they in the same holes as other targets or are you eyeballing them scattered about on top of the ground?
"to you, a hero is some kind of weird sandwich..."
  • i found that some old silver objects, do in fact have a light purple/pink color. i knew right away that it was silver. it came in at around 88 on the dfx.

i personally have dug targets that also had marbles mixed in. this time out, the marbles were on the surface.
  • That's a great group of finds. The top left button and the buckle are my favorites, but I sure wouldn't turn down any of those digs.
