Back to the Beach - Sunday

Went back to the beach cut on Sunday. I was too early! Had to wait for the tide to go out a little.

So I took a walk down the beach on top of the bank. I found some coins on top of the sand.

We had lots of wind that uncovered the coins. I did find a "48s" wheat. And after going thru my finds at home I see I have a "52s" silver dime ;-)

I got just over $4.00 in clad, a junk ring and a junk pendant:

My wife cleaned up the chain and pendant from Sat AM finds. May be better than I thought :-)
Now I see 5 links of yellow gold and what may be 3 links of rose gold--still has a strange pendant:

  • Very nice Jerry. Those oldies do run deep at the beach. Takes a good cut to bring them out.

I love to hear beach jargon like "cuts" seeing as I don't get to the coast very often. Nice job and pictures, thanks for sharing with us.

  • congrats Jerry image

how did you clean the chain and medal?
  • Nice finds, but I love the pictures! The first one is really great, but the second one.. WOW! It jumps out at you as if it were 3-D. I nominate both pictures for next month's photo contest.

Thanks Bob. That photo is of the top of the bank with white water rushing up to the cut below the bank.

Sometimes the simple photos come out best ;-) Thanks folks.

Jerry, those are great finds! As usual, I'm drawn to the medal. I'm not sure that it's custom made, but it certainly isn't run of the mill. I agree with MrGuby, you might consider having a jeweler take a peek!
