Another dolt. Ebay Seller mini75man66

So I win 2 cards from this chowderhead and pay $3.25 for shipping. Expensive for two raw cards, but whatever. Cards arrive in penny sleeves and a plain white envelope with .41 cents postage. I email the seller and tell him that I am very unhappy he shipping in a pwe after charging me 3.25. I get no reply. I email him again today and tell him I'd like some resolution, I think it's ridiculous that he'd charged 3.25 and ship that way. So I get this reply:

"shipping & handling rates listed on auctions if you think its to much why you bidding. leave whatever feedback you want to get in return"

To which I replied :
Dear mini75man66,

I'm not complaining about the shipping and handling, I'm complaining that for $3.25 you sent me two cards in a plain white envelope. A threat of negative feedback does not scare me. I have a score of nearly 1200. You have 199. So please table the pointless threats.

I sell a lot more than I buy and I charge 2.50 and ship in a bubble mailer. I don't think that is too much to ask.

I think a refund of $2 is more than fair considering the 41 cent stamp.

------------------------

Am I just being a whiner? Pi$$es me off when people do this.

I see neutrals are rewarded with negs, so he's not getting off with a neutral. Do I just bite my tongue and walk away or take one for the team? With a score of nearly 1200 a neg would change me from a 99.7 to a 99.6 (boo hoo)

I would just neg him and move on. Be sure and give him 1 star for shipping.

  • Or even a positive and 1 star for shipping. I like those new sub-ratings.

I wouldnt even bother. If the cards got there in the condition you expected then it shouldnt matter if he sent them loose in a pwe or hand delivered them by helicoptor.

I wouldnt leave any feedback and just never buy from him again.

Doesnt seem to be worth the aggravation. Just chalk it up as an annoyance.

    Stop chatting with him.

Wait until the FB scheme changes; then, NEG him.

He will not be able to retaliate.

That was to be my original response.

My associate just said that transactions made PRIOR to the
change, can still be NEGd by sellers.

Anything prior to 5/1 (I think is the cutoff) can receive retal neg.

Here is his response to me now.:

WE SEND EVERYTHING THE SAME WAY NO COMPLAINTS YOU ARE A COMPLAINER AND I'M NOT THREATENING YOU WITH FEEDBACK I SAID YOUR GETTING WHAT YOU LEAVE YOU CHARGE 2.50 AN AUCTION I LOOKED AT THEM SO STOP WHINING ABOUT 3.25 YOU GOT YOUR CARDS YOUR ACTING LIKE A DUMB 0 FEEDBACKER WOULD ACT NOT A FELLOW SELLER

All caps even, now I'm REALLY tempted to leave the neg

Look, I agree with you 100% but as a seller, would you want to get a neg over $2-3? I can't stand sellers like that (especially with the tone of his emails), but I would just leave it be or leave a neutral.
  • It's amazing with all the things going on today in our world, that people still complain over the most pointless things. If the cards you got were in the condition they were supposed to be, than drop it.
  • 41 cents vs 3.25 is quite a difference.
And please no one make remarks about handling charges such as driving to the post office, gas in your car, time spent etc.
This was just a plain rip off

Yeah, it's pretty insignificant in the grand scheme of things but it's the principal of the matter. And of the two cards I received, one has a crunched corner, the envelope is torn, though both cards were there. The other card has a nicely dinged corner already so that really is of no consequence. I'm sorry you feel the way you do and I hope you never buy from him and get an empty white envelope. $3.25 for a pwe is terrible and his attitiude irked me even more. I won't buy anything from him again. I solicited feedback and I appreciate yours, though I disagree.

    Neg and 1 star him.

    Steve

    Good for you.
  • In the future, if that happens and you paid with Paypal, you can always claim you never got it, since he won't have delivery confirmation.

The guy sounds like a real turd I won't bid on his wares. I received a card yesterday that I only payed $2.00 shipping, it atleast was in a toploader inside the PWE. I left a positive (it was undamaged and was sent quickly), he has yet to leave me feedback.

Bubble mailers cost like 12 cents each if you buy a carton of them.

And if you are a buyer that sells on occasion you can re use them too.

Cards should never be sent in PWE ever.

Of course, I would NEVER encourage someone to all three of those things.
One or two? Maybe. All three? No.
  • Yes I agree with Steve cards should not be sent in PWE ever. Even if someone is sending something for free I would rather pay for it than see a card damaged in the mail.

Yeah I am sure that would be your attitude too if you overpaid for PWE. Josh it might not be worth it to get all riled up, but I certainly see your point. Just don't buy from him again, and give him the 1 star. Idiots like this will never get it no matter what you do to them.

As a buyer, after leaving feedback can I check how many stars I gave? Mr. PWE wants to know what I rated him.
  • envoy98envoy98 Posts: 4,000 ✭✭
  • If you neg him, I don't think you can leave star ratings.
  • fattymacsfattymacs Posts: 2,579 ✭✭✭
Different guy, he only charged $2.00 for a PWE (it was in a top-loader atleast). I left him a positive and 5 stars on all but S&H charges (I left a 4 or 5, can't remember which). He emailed me asking if I had "zapped" him in my feedback (he hasn't left me any feed back yet). I can't figure out how I can see how many stars I gave him.
