Why don't Ebay sellers check to see if other high value cards are already up for auction?

I know that's something that I do for every auction. I can understand if two sellers put similar auctions up at the same time and they don't know until it's too late. But lately, I've had a few sellers put very rare cards a day or two after mine...and it seems to dilute the demand.

If it's a powerseller, then probably aren't going to spend the time. Plus, maybe their card is a higher grade, so they figure it will sell for more against an inferior card.

i agree. once i had an extreme rare vintage error card up for auction (about 15 exist) and some jerkoff listed one the next day. i know he saw my listing but didnt care. he actually went one step further and emailed the people bidding on my auction to check out his auction.
