So i bought some new wax for the first time in a looooong time.... 2008 Heritage blasters

Its been probably 10 years since i got new wax packs... So I was at Target...got two boxes.....ripped em all open... chewed all the gum too lol. I like that they have gum! some of them have black numbering on the back...99% are green/red

i love the card stock... though a lot of the photos are pretty poor/fuzzy.

The gum was yummy!
Is there a list of the SP's? i tried sorting through the Heritage thread but my eyes started to bleed...

$40 though ouch! some scans of the inserts i pulled.

Whats the deal with the t-205 cards? looks like a small set (15 cards) special inserts for Target only> ? any short prints in this set>?

  • I'd be interested in any Braves base cards as well as the Chin Lung Hu (dodger) T-205 card.
  • How many packs did you get for $40?

  • << <i>How many packs did you get for $40? >>

I think two blasters worth is 14 packs. So a tiny bit under $3 a pack (If my 1 in the morning math is correct)
  • 14 packs 7 per blaster box...and you get a bonus pack in each box. (with the t-205's)

I haven't gone to Target yet but that's a cool insert that they included for Target only.

And I believe they included 10 Dick Perez cards in the Walmart packs.

Every year I talk with the guy who distributes the cards to the Target stores in my area - he a really good guy - it appears Target is contracted with a company who distributes the cards to those stores - and he's responsible for supervising the layout and stuff.

    Ya gotta love this stuff!

  • Too bad they don't have 24hr Target's around here. I'm heading over in the morning when they open to see if my local one has any. Those T205's look cool. Let me know if you want to sell the Hu card (he's the LA Dodger).

    Gentlemen.......

From a really non baseball card collector........Im befuddled on these different Heritage conversations and the mad dashes to Target`..........

Is this product the 20.00 per box of blaster and is there anything " special" in them......They had approximately 6 to 8 blaster boxes.

They have 5 or 6 boxes of packs @ 2.99 per that have been rifled thru by the people that arent very nice, you know who you are,,,,,,,

Is there anything in those also......Or are you guys just dedicated baseball collectors....thank for the input, goye

Nothing negative that I can see.

But, the last sentence is hard to construe?

Can you restate or clarify what you're asking? "Is there anything in...Or are you guys...."

"Or are you guys.......just dedicated baseball card collectors, which is a good thing.

Being in an extremely non hockey area, ive tried a variety of those hockey blaster boxes over the years, because I have no other local opportunities for boxes / packs and NEVER, never found anything in them, just regular cards......no autos, no patchs, no game used.......

And I was just curious by the way some conversations regarding when people "find" 2008 heritage blaster boxes at Target`they seem to buy 2 or 3 boxes of them, when the Target` in my area always has boxes available of Heritage 2008 baseball......

I rather simple statement / question really......

Still not sure what you want to hear?

When one buys a blaster - 7 packs e.g. - the odds are good you'll just get some base cards - maybe 1 SP or perhaps an insert or if lucky a chrome.

Yes, I've pulled some autos from blasters - had the most luck with the Topps Fan-favorite brand and Bowman Heritage years ago.

About baseball? There's all kinds of product at Target - basketball, hockey and football - for the most part there's baseball here but I always enjoy when the hockey guys come on with items they pick up.

Even if one buys a whole of case of product, getting something really great is a pure crapshoot - and that's the excitement factor - is it gambling - in a way.

Hang around - ya might see something really cool.

Heck, a board member reported that his wife bought ONE pack of heritage for a stocking stuffer at Christmas and he pulled a 1/1 president sig! Anything's possible.

The first year of heritage had some investment potential but to be honest? I don't think heritage is good for that.

There's gotta be much better places to invest money IMO.
