    Hello
that is a nice Reed RC. Where did you come about this card? Would you guarantee the card is unaltered/would grade?

Ive probably had the card for 20 years now. I use to attend alot of "Brick and Mortor" Auctions and Shows back in the day. This card was obtained at one of them. Im confident the card is unaltered. Guarantee? PSA can't even do that. But if it came back as "Altered" I will buy the card back from you. Aside from the print flaw on the right arm, the card has just a touch of surface wear. I see no "Tell, Tell " signs of trimming.

Is the print mark on the Willis Reed something that is raised up? Is it definitely not paper loss? And are all 4 corners 9 worthy?

"My father would womanize, he would drink. He would make outrageous claims like he invented the question mark. Sometimes he would accuse chestnuts of being lazy. The sort of general malaise that only the genius possess and the insane lament. Our childhood was typical. Summers in Rangoon, luge lessons. In the spring we'd make meat helmets. When we were insolent we were placed in a burlap bag and beaten with reeds - pretty standard really."

Why is the back of the Willis Reed card larger than the front of the card?

    How is that possible?

How could PSA holder a crazy card like that?

Are all basketball cards larger on the backs than the front?

If you drew a tiny band-aid, to cover the blemish on his arm, would PSA deduct a grade for that?

Do you think Clearasil would help the blemish go away?

Would you guarentee that he'd never get any more blemishes? Assuming of course, that he ate right and didn't sweat too much?

Is it possible to play basketball and not sweat?

Now that I'm thinking about it ... Could I get scans ... of just the blemish please?

    Thanks!

  • Ok Guys, Ive had quite a few questions about the Willis Reed Card.

#1 The mark appeares to have been a raised Print "Bubble" that was rubbed and does have a hint of paper loss. The card has nice sharp corners and a touch of surface wear, It is very clean Front and Back and I suspect without the "Print Flaw" it could be a strong 8 candidate.

#2 The card is not bigger on the back.... The scan of the back is simply a bit larger. Mike????

#3 A band aid over the mark would qualifiy the card as being restored

    #4 NO

    #5 NO

    #6 NO

    #7 NO

    #8 YES, Here you go
    image

#9 If your after a PSA 8 with no qualifiers you are most likely going to have to shell out the $125-$130 they fetch. Its not this card

#10 If you want a nice clean Sharp card with the Mark on it Then 50 bucks. I think the card is worth every penny of that.

Mike did you get the cards I sent and my message about the cards I needed from the ones you sent me?

The Elway was probably your best card and you sold it way cheap compared to your other cards. If the deal falls through, I will take it.
  • The Elway is gone. Centering like that makes it garbage to me. I'll keep the good Stuff.
I'll let ya know if I dig out any more junk.

<< <i>The card is not bigger on the back.... The scan of the back is simply a bit larger. >>

Actually, I think I solved the problem. If I put my hand over my left eye and look at just the front scan .. then quickly take a step forward, while switching my hand to cover my right eye, then the scans looks the same size.

I've been experimenting with this new tecnique for the past 6 hours and I think I've just about got it perfected. Although, I'm getting a little light headed.

    Mike

PS - PM sent with lots of new questions

That is not a Terrell Davis rookie card and who is Alan Iverson?
  • Corrected the Terrell Davis descrpition.

Allen Iverson? Just another flash in the pan, overhyped whinner. Scores alot and I will have to say I gave him a little bit more respect for playing his heart out a few years ago in the playoffs while hurt, But they lost. Surely No Jordan, Magic or Bird. Just MHO, but I'd much rather have a more complete player like Jason kidd.

Iverson is that guy who doesn't play any defense and doesn't like to practice...probably wasn't a standout in English class either.
  • SHHHHHHHH, I went kind light on him because Im trying to sell the cards.

An argument could be made that Iverson is just as complete a player as Kidd (because Kidd is a terrible shooter). Iverson doesn't play defense? Top 10 in the league in steals 10 times, lead the league twice. 4x top 10 in the league in assists. Obviously the scoring is there.
By the way, I'd rather have Kidd as well. But I don't think he is a more complete player.

Good luck selling the rest of your cards, John.
