Baseball buttons/pins - share your collections
My primary interest has always been with cards, however, I like to supplement my collection with other items from time to time including buttons/pins of my favorite team. Here are few that I have. Does anyone else collect them?

It's not a primary area for me - but yes - I collect both team and player pins and some WS Press Pins. My impression is that not too many people here collect them so I rarely talk about them.
Here's a few of my team pins:
A PM-10 pin of Mantle:
And my favorite pair of WS press pins since it was the only win for the Dodgers when they were in NY:
Thanx for sharing your Reds pins!

All the more reason to share them! I think these are just not on a lot of people's radar because they are not aware of them. I am sure a good many of us on the boards saw something we never knew existed and started collecting them, be it an obscure card set or memorabilia such as this. Good stuff guys, I will try to scrounge up some photos of the few I have in my collection as well this weekend.

This was the prize I won in one of Wondo's trivia contests...
The silver home plate shaped item is a 1971 Topps Coin proof.

Thanx for the words of encouragement - very appreciated Snortman.
So - here's some pins that I don't know anything about - they're 3/4" in diameter - probably from the early 50s. No later than 1953 since there's a Browns pin (1954 became the Orioles).
When I was a kid, a lot of the veteran fans would stick a bunch of these kinds of pins on their BB cap.
And - tho I don't collect them, I do have an example of a 1912 Sweet Caporal pin:

<< <i>Here are some of my pins. The Tener pin is an ex baseball player and was successful in the election.

I'm fan of the "Our National Game" pins Bob.
Very nice Sweet Caps. I got outbid on an entire set of ONG's - and never got around to trying again to pick them up - some day...
So much stuff - so little time and not enough money I guess.
Thanx for sharing

Good point Bob.
For those who are not familiar - check out the backs of the pins!
Do you collect political pins or just because the guy was ex-baseball? I've considered 'other' pins but there's just too much out there and my focus won't allow it.
I still search for PM-10s from time to time but ya gotta be careful for fakes.

I have 20+ Gary Carter buttons. I've attached a scan of my favorite one from the 1980's, it actually lights up! I have a Darryl Strawberry as well, still looking for the Gooden.

The light blue background is the most common of the different variations of the pin.
