Got Grades...VAMs

Got some decent results. I got out of Peace dollars because I didn't think I could grade them well enough. The one in this group was a surprise to the contrary. A couple that happily made the plastic were finger-crossers. Only one disappointment.

I just was updating my database and WOW did I score on that 1882. Greysheet in MS65 is a lot nicer than in MS64. The 1885 VAM-9A and VAM-23A are also great in PCGS plastic, both at MS63 too.

Not sure. I seem to recall that as being a very likely PO-01 candidate. I'll have to check it out when it arrives back, probably tomorrow.

I don't blame them for not grading this one. It is a lot of work to date this one based on design type, mint mark orientation, .... I would grade this 0.5. Zero would be for a coin with not date or mint mark visible but both judged genuine and of a one issue (date+mm) design type. I think for PO01, it needs a discernable date.

Didn't realize a planchet flaw was a reason for BB. I suppose I need to submit it throught he error service?

PCGS completely messed up on this one. They mistook classic heavy die file lines as post-Mint tooling? The lines are raised and straight through device interruptions.

A planchet flaw is considered a mint error. That's allot of die polishing going on with the other coin. Very cool. I especially like the 1880.
