NEED HELP determining values of 1958 Ted Williams and Aaron PSA graded Miscut (MC) cards <<Wil

March 17 Update...Aaron and Williams are sold.
Recently, I have successfully sold vintage PSA graded major stars (with no qualifiers) on the CU forum. I try to value and price the cards fairly and have received great feedback from buyers. I normally price at 75-100% of SMR, depending on demand for the card.

Here's my problem...I am clueless on how to value cards with qualifiers. For example, I have a 1958 Ted Williams PSA 3 (MC) and a 1958 Aaron PSA 5 (MC). I have attached scans below. What would be a fair asking price as a percentage of SMR? Aaron PSA 5 NQ is valued at $100 by SMR. Would a price of 50% SMR be fair for a miscut card?

Any help would be appreciated,

IMO for OC cards, pricing it based on the SMR level for whatever registry grade it would work out to is the most common approach. For MC cards, I really have no good idea, although my gut reaction is that I would price front MCs if I were selling any at a fairly high percentage (though < 100%) of what I would sell such an OC card at.

    Example: card is a 7OC, SMR for a 7 is 50, SMR for a 5 is 20 - price a 7 OC at 20 and a 7MC at maybe 15 to 18.

Just my advice, worth what you paid for it. image

those prices sound about right...normally what a psa 3 sells for with those cards.
  • Thanks for the help on evaluation of PSA graded miscut cards. In fact, the Aaron MC just sold this past weekend. If anyone is interested in the '58 Ted Williams PSA MC, I am pricing it at $40 delivered.
