My friend is me. $5 special worked out pretty nice.
Henderson got "A" for authentic which is fine. I told them
to just slab it "A" if it's deemed altered in any way. Card looked
pristine IMO from Ebay. If it looks too pretty, deem it "A".
Brodeur got a zero - Trimmed; another highly trimmed modern card (from Ebay). Spent $2 on it. Not a big deal.
BTW, for those that use SGC as well, did you know that you can
peek at the pre-grade process? When my order was being processed (when you check the invoice#) it will list everything and
all the grades will say "not graded". Lines 3-13 I know are
brand spanking new to their population with 0 straight across. The
next few days, I saw i.e. 98 with a total of 1, and so forth. It stayed like that until today when it was shipped. I'm disappointed that the O'Sullivan once said 100 and it dropped to 96; while everything else stayed the same. Guess the final grader didn't agree with the pre-grader? I do like the black holders and they support the thick cards really nice. I use all 3 (PSA, BGS, and SGC <---- the last on a whim or if it's a nice special)

When you track your invoice number, the page opens up and lists all the items from # 1 down to whatever.
If you sent in 50 cards, you'll have 50 items listed. You then click on that player's name. i.e The first item
Rickey Henderson (name will be highlighted and it's a link). It will open up the population report for that player/card.
I knew there were 2 listed as Authentic. I saw that it was there now 3 under "A" for authentic before my order
was ready, so I figured that was my card. Granted, you'll hit a lot of cards that have a population report, and unless
you already knew exactly what was stated (pop wise), then it wouldn't do you any good.
No one ever sends in modern hockey, so I knew that there would be straight zeros across for each column (grade)
for that specific issue/card/player.
The pre-grade was listed about a week later (after it was logged in) after I clicked on the player's name and I know it's mine cos I sent
in an odd card or parallel and I see a 98 as part of the pop report, but my grade isn't listed on the invoice yet cos
the order isn't done. I remembered I had my pre-grade listed within 3 days several times before. It left the anxiety
of waiting for the order to be done cos it was indicative of the same outcome and I didn't have to check 10 times per day to see if my order was done. Sometimes, there were 1 or 2 changes in the final grade, but overall, the grades remained the same. I've
had 2 incidents before this one that cards were 100 and then changed to 96 in the final. Granted, it's a big drop; so I don't
know whether it got damaged after the pre-grade, such as a little tiny nick from sliding the card in and out of the sleeve, etc.
We used to see him on the Monarchs every week! Miss him actually!
