So basically my kid won't be able to go to college, but at least I'll have a set where the three most expensive cards are of a player I despise ~ CDsNuts

<< <i>If your Ebay watch list was empty, then I'd be worried. I've still got 48 items on mine. >>
I'm watching two cards just for poops and giggles.
The scary part is that I'm not concerned about money or the economy; just nothing out there worth pursuing.
Maybe I need to start another set.
Loves me some shiny!
<< <i>dont worry...cardboard is getting ready to get A LOT cheaper!

I agree right now if you got the extra cash it is the time to buy.

I sure wouldn't mind if you bought my baseball Mr. Stown, But then again , I don't know if you collect baseballs ,
I am getting kind of excited about the auction coming up and hoping it breaks some kind of record or the bank , or both .
There is no picture up yet but the description is . . .
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1932 New York Yankees Team Signed Baseball. Exceptional high-grade sphere may well be the finest honoring the Babe's final World Championship team ever to reach the auction block. Ruth occupies his customary position on the sweet spot of this gorgeous OAL (Harridge) ball, joining fifteen other teammates that only once (Ben Chapman at 6/10) veer more than a point from the 9/10 strength that characterizes the Bambino's offering. All the pinstriped icons are present and accounted for: Gehrig, Lazzeri, Combs, Dickey, Sewell and Ruffing, proving this ball is far more than just a pretty face. The ball itself has mellowed only slightly to a light tobacco shade, and the manufacturer's stamping remains vivid and pronounced. As glorious and unexpected as Ruth's World Series Called Shot, this ball is destined for a place of honor in the finest of private baseball autograph collections. LOA from PSA/DNA. LOA from James Spence Authentication.
I might have to give them a buz and ask them to re- phrase that, Use a better word than Exceptional . . .it just sounds wrong
If I ever owned that ball, and sold it, I would probably be sick the rest of my life.
I have been told it is very possible
<< <i>Believe me , I felt it as soon as it left my hands , but times are rough , I'm just praying it does really well , I hope there is a bidding war over it
I have been told it is very possible >>
I understand, my friend. I'll be rooting for you.
I am new, here, so would you mind saying how you obtained it?
I just checked mine and it's at zero also.
I'm out of budget money with the case of Heritage and have been too busy to finish up picking the cards for the final set.
Anthony
Again - good luck with that exquisite example of Babe Ruth! I'll be watching.

Sorry to hear you're parting from the ball.
I recently came across several millions of dollars from a distant cousin, who somehow ended up in Nigeria. It's a really complicated process to claim MY inheritance but I've been assured that it's worth the efforts. Since I'm a nice guy, I'll gladly make a trade..
What a friggin night I had last night , I downloaded a program called " System Mechanic " from AOL and It deleted a bunch of files from my computer, I could not log onto the forum , I thought I got banned from the forum ,
I was thinking maybe the pic I put on here might have surpassed the allowed size or something and they kicked me off , so all last night I went crazy trying to figure out what I did and I couldn't ,
So it kept saying I had to have something called Java enabled , I'm saying to myself what the hell is that ! where the heck did it go , did someone steal my Java ? did I just get hacked !
Anyway , I had to do a system restore , my computer saves all of the original files and drivers in a seperate hard drive , but you lose anything like pics or music you don't have saved to disk !
It restores your computer to like the day you bought it with just the original programs
Thank God I still have a lot of my pics saved on Photo Bucket !
Lmao Mr. Stown is that for real ?
I wish someone would leave me a boatload of cash !
Mr. Stan , Back in the day I used to break knee caps for the Teflon Don I'm retired from that business now just rying to lay low .
Just kidding , a dear old man gave me that baseball and a few other team signed baseballs , But I think I'd still rather have a boatload of cash left to me
Edited to add : Then I could buy it back
