4SC "Good or Bad" ?

Four Sharp Corners is by far and away the largest seller for graded cards on eBay is this a good or a bad thing. They flood the market with high grade material to the point of over saturation. If you had a high grade set that they don't sell you feel great and it has some good value. But once the start selling it you see your value drop like a rock because they just bombard the market place.

Lots of posts on this exact subject. Like Ted said, great if you want to buy a card, bad if you want to sell one. They do grade anything and everything and they're prices, by their own hand, come down week by week as they grade and list more and more of the same card. If you are willing to bide your time on the high grade modern stuff, you can get it pretty cheap. I've had good luck buying from them and I know people who have sold sets to them and have had good things to say. They grade what people need and they sell it, driving down their own prices in the process. I can't complain about that.

I used to buy a lot from them, then they had a disaster with a good member here. They listed a tuff card with a cheap buy it now, he bought it, they jerked him for a month or so about it saying it was shipped, lost, etc, and then relisted the same exact card on ebay for about 10X as much.

I can't afford real rare expensive cards but I can decide who I send my money to and it's not 4SC

Their s/h charges are not high if you're buying a lot of cards.

I don't even want to think about how many boxes I have gotten from them over the years (and they ship right away) where shipping was in the neighborhood of 50 cents per card.

Who else regularly has lots of late '70s and early '80s PSA 9s from all sports at $3 apiece (and a few lower than that)?

  • I buy LOTS of cards from them and find their prices to be very reasonable. I have never sold any cards to or through them before.

I agree with Nick. I looked to them regularly for some 70's sets I have completed. I don't like everything about them but they're not to blame for the wealth of 70's material out there in high grade. If people get this stuff graded and it drops the prices due to increased supply, so be it. To me that suggests that perhaps people were foolish in paying inflated prices for it in the first place, particularly when anyone who has been in the hobby a long time knows that there is tons of it out there.
