PSA 8.5 or 9?? Is that snow/fuzz on the card on the top right of the image or is it on the sleeve?? Not sure if that would qualify it for a PD.

based on the 500 84 topps football i have sent in.. That card will grade 8 about 90% of the time and never lower.

    PSA 8.5 or 9

I have seen many cards with more print defects in 9 holders. Nice centering on that one.

8 because of the snow.Nice card though.

Even with the little bit of snow, I think it has a shot to be a straight 9. That's why I was surprised to see it in this slab:

In the olden days, PSA was a lot more liberal with qualifiers. They loosened up a bit when they realized people didn't want qualifiers on their cards, so now they only use them for extreme examples. I think this card is a straight 8.5 or 9 so I cracked and am resubmitting.

Is it possible it got the PD qualifier cuz of the 2 PD's on the back?

    Good for you.

That's what the seller thought, but I've never seen a PD because of a fisheye on the back. Maybe the combination snow and fisheyes, but no way PSA gives it a qualifier these days. I won't even request no qualifiers just to see what happens.

I agree. That has very nice eye appeal and i think you have a good shot at a 8.5. Be interesting to see the results.

    What a beautiful card !

May their eyes be blinded by the beauty .

Such excellent centering and corners .

That is what I would say though , the combination of the snow and the miniscule little PD on the reverse .

I'm waiting for Tarkentonnut to chime in here anytime with his Marino 9.

    Massive fisheye on the front.

  • The snow is a shame, Lee.

    Centering is just about dead-on.

    Still has a shot at a 9.

    Probably an 8, though.

Keep submitting. You'll eventually get your 9.

If this can get a strait 9 I don't see why yours can't Lee.
The fisheye above his head to the left is so distracting you almost miss the big ol one one his neck.

The "Massive" fish eye on this card drives me nuts everytime I look @ this card.

Bought it years ago on a last second impulse buy, didn't pay attention to the scan imageimage
  • Is that the Oakley logo?

So basically my kid won't be able to go to college, but at least I'll have a set where the three most expensive cards are of a player I despise ~ CDsNuts

anything raised to the (0) power is always = 1
So that means that the Dolphins are #1???

    That can't be right.
