Returnee asking or an update

I'm back in the hobby after10 years of hibernation, 2250 baseball games watched and 1500 bags of Lays potato chips..

When I was selling cards from 83-98, I used to use Card Saver II semi rigid holders. Are those still available? I thought I got them from Baseball Card World in Anderson In., but I don't see them on their site. Haven't called yet. Thaks in advance...LOVE this site. GO TRIBE!!

Have some cards on Ebay under Ballfan2007.

Man, thats a whole lot of chips you ate there! Did you ever happen to eat any 1950's Scott's Potato Chips with those Basketball cards? image

  • Nope, chips didn't become an addiction until the 80's; then the Scott's chips were all gone!!

    welcome back! >>

Looks to be a tad more expensive than the2buds.com but I've seen stuff for cheaper then The 2 Buds too. I've just had good service so I stick with them.

I just checked out the2buds, seems most of the supply items I use are 15-20% more than CSC. Might be cheaper on other things though. Columbia is also known for amazing service and significantly reduced shipping on larger orders, no gouging. I do like all of the mylar supplies the2buds offers, very nice resource for that.

  • Yeah, they do have tons of mylar stuff for just about anything. They seem to have alot of "specialty" stuff. The only thing I looked up on CSC was toploaders and I thought they were a little more expensive, but maybe not. It does all come down to where you're comfortable with the service. A couple dollars wouldn't change me on that either.

    Welcome back ballfan!!!!

There's so many good companies out there - I remember Baseball Card World from SCD ads I believe?

It wouldn't hurt to shop I guess - so another place is BCW and I've also bought from Hot Flips who used to advertise in SCD under another name. I haven't bought any supplies in a while but need to get involved real soon.

Good luck in selling some of your items and getting involved in the hobby again.

Are you working on any sets right now?
