A few Shillings (with a dialup warning)

I just got all my older British stuff out of storage and fell in love with them again, some of these are raw and some in old Anacs slabs. I just can't figure out what possessed me to put these up where I couldn't fondle them. These really aren't high grade but I sure enjoy them.
1834

1825

1816

1787 - Thanks to Hussulo I now know this is a 1 over inverted 1 variety so I thought I would show it again- currently in an older Anacs AU58 holder

1697 - currently residing in an NGC62 holder- a horrible strike, but what the heck, it's 300 years old.

Getting these out where I can see them again has really brought the fun of collecting back to me. Most were purchased from around 1987-1995, a few of the other British pieces were bought as late as 2001 but nothing since. I think I'll get back to them now.

nice group of Shillings, I've been looking for a clean '34 like yours. nice example! I also really like the 1816-1820 George IIIs (i'm trying to finish my set of this run, I need the elusive 1818), and I love the reverse on the George IV bare heads! I love the lion on the Crown motif
keep 'em coming, we love to see beautiful coins!
Over the past couple of years I've been laying low and just buying a few early US commemoratives, I'm about 1/2 way finished with that set.

<< <i>These really aren't high grade but I sure enjoy them. >>
Sez who? They are TOO in high grade! OK, so maybe they ain't MS68, and maybe not even MS in some cases, but those dang sure look high grade and lovely from where I sit!
<< <i>I found several 19th/20th C. 1/2 crowns I had, a few Sassanian Empire, Roman and miscellaneous foreign I'm going to sell off to get me started on these. >>
If you have any Romans I need, be sure to let me be the first to see 'em!

Lordmarcovan, both of the Romans appear to be rulers you have, although both are different coins than yours, I'll post images tonight when I get home for you to look at.
