payment problem

i received a money order for payment on card i sold.its one of those wal-mart moneygram money orders for 181.00.my bank won't cash it because the person[buyer]did not sign his name.should i just go ahead and sign it.i'm not really into forgery.or should i send it back for him to sign.i already endorsed the back of the money order.thanks for any advice.gil

    This is ONLY what I would do....... NOT what I am advising anyone else to do:

    I would sign the thing and deposit it in my account.

    Buyers often forget to sign their MOs.

    I'd tell the guy you are going to do it first. You might feel better about doing it.

    We get checks at work from people forgetting to sign them. After I call them, they usually just say sign it for me.

    Those Wal Mart money orders have had a lot of probelms. I read about them on another board.

    I would sign my own name, make a copy or scan, and deposit it or see if they will cash it at the local walmart.

    You're not allowed to ever sign somebody else's name even if they tell you to.

    Allen is right, there were a LOT of fake walmart money orders over the last few years. Your buyer doesn't seem like the kind of guy to do that.

    I would Print his name and then I'd sign mine and deposit it.
