Where can I buy bags of wheat pennies that have not been picked through? I'm going to try my local coin shop but they're probaby overpriced. any suggestions?

It's certainly rare that wheaties have not been search by someone along the way. What seems less searched in wheaties is varities. Many old collectors searched for dates and mint marks but overlooked varieties and errors.
I have found few really unsearched "hoards" in 65 years of collecting. There may be some out there but you'd have to go to the big boys, even someone like Apmex, as the time to search them is overwhelming and as they say time is money.
When large collections get disbursed it's usually strong hands that get the chances to buy. So, that is where I'd be looking if I were still inclined to do so.
