do you mean the actual leader DIDN'T play for the Yankees or BESIDES Yankee players? Because i don't think anyone will ever top Yogi Berra's 10 rings.....

Hmm. If you decided to limit this question to active MLB players... Mike Timlin has 4, and never played for the Yanks.

  • I think the key is "was on the regular season roster". Does not mean that the player was still on the team when the World Series rolled around....

That would have been my guess, there was an article on this with Timlin about a month ago in the Boston Herald and they named some players...I just cant remember! image

Doesn't Don Baylor have a few? Seems to me won like 3 or 4 in a row with different teams in the late 80's, early 90's. Don't know the total number though.

What about "Most teams played, NO World Series"?

  • digicatdigicat Posts: 8,551 ✭✭
    It's Eddie Collins with 6.

He was on the regular season roster of 6 teams that went on to win a World Series that year.

He played in 4 of those victories:
    1910
    1911
    1913
    1917

But did not play in the Series in 2 other seasons (but was on the regular season roster).
    1929
    1930
