AACS autographs on eBay

Anyone purchase from these guys? Says they don't give COAs, but instead give receipts which they claim are better because they "protect the seller". Just curious if it's safe to buy an auto piece from anyone that doesn't offer COAs.

I have bought from them before and been very happy with the product and service. I bought vintage Track and Field Stars and some HOF baseball autos all on 3 X 5 index cards.

I think I would rather have the receipt so I could get my money back. Most COA's are not worth the paper their written on IMO.

Really? Why do you think that? Not saying you're wrong, just curious. I've always sort of followed the rule that you don't buy any auto w/out a COA.

Most COAs hold little/no weight with sophisticated buyers.

PSA/DNA is now the gold-standard for cautious collectors.

Buying raw autos is always a risk. It is important to KNOW
what the real sig looks like before buying raw ones. Looking
at LOTS of exemplars is the best training. I trust my own eye
on the sigs that interest me, MUCH more than I trust a COA.

I was browsing their auctions last week and noticed this auction.
I know it's a minor auction with no value but I thought it was curious that the girl on the card in the middle forgot how to spell her name.
