Got in some really nice, raw vintage today...

A bunch from Packman (David) on the BST board (thanks David), and some ebay stuff. I may get on the raw bandwagon, although there are some potentially nice graders here...

Very nice Mike! Gotta throw this out there though... As far as getting very nice Raw cards, isnt the first thing that comes to mind "I wonder how they would grade?' No matter what you do those are very nice cards-enjoy!

Gotta love the look of sharp raw cards the way they were intended to be. Free of plastic tombs. Great pick ups. Joe

    Nice pickups Mike.

Looks like we got a 'trend' goin' on here - I guess "guy with numbers for name" is onto somethin?

Now when they say "paper or plastic" - we know it's paper all the way!

  • Mike...in case you were wondering, my screen name is the Fibonacci sequence...going from left to right, each number is the sum of the two previous ones (1+1=2, 1+2=3, 2+3=5, 3+5=8, 5+8=13, etc.).

I just got in some nice raw 1955 & 1957 FB as well and will be posting scans later on today...

    Matt
  • Here are the 57 Topps FB I just got in....cost me $55 for the whole lot (which also included a 55 Bowman Summerall that's not in the scan).
I mainly bought the lot to get the Bobby Layne card, so if anybody wants any of the others, PM me.

    Mike,
That's a batch of beautiful raw cards right in my era. That 69 Santo AS is tough to get that well centered too.

Thanks guys. Am very pleased with most all of my purchases lately ( I haven't bought much this year until the last couple of weeks).High props to Packman - who sold me all but the 59's and most of the 1960 cards.

Nice football cards too. I sent you a pm on the Richard Lane.

Very nice cards Mike. Looks like you can't go wrong either grading them or keeping them raw.
