That is why this place and the B/S/T/ thread is important. I feel 100% safe dealing with almost everyone here. Well I must be off- to go shutdown my sellers account. Lookout- flea markets! Metalmike is coming to your town!

Very interesting read. Thanks. I think the future of everything is specialized. We'll all be using card specific auction houses in the future for most transactions (hopefully better than Naxcom). It's just the way things evolve. Look at TV, Satellite Radio etc. They evolve by becoming more specialized to certain segments of the population. The opposite is true in some cases (like Wal Mart), where one conglomerate controls multiple platforms. You could say this is true about eBay now, but if a site was user friendly and reliable that was dedicated simply to this hobby, and marketed itself effectively to us, I think the hobby could be better suited nd we would jump on board.

For better/worse, buyers ONLY go where sellers are.
Enough sellers will NEVER leave EBAY to allow that dream to win. >>
While I tend to agree with that general assessment, I'm sure you've read all the recent threads about seller dissatisfaction on eBay. As a matter of fact, from what I can tell, there really no disadvantages for buyers, only sellers. I agree that it would take a major/catastrophic event to have a majority of sellers move, but I don't think this is impossible if the litigation in the article that metalmike posted were to come to fruition negatively for eBay.
I have had my sellers account on hold for a while due to the high fees. Wait til the negatives start flying. I have my popcorn ready along with my paypal account buying cards and sets to flip.

You know they will eventually suspend your account for non-payment. They will also suspend any other accounts attached to your IP address.
Not appologizing for anyone. Its obvious that you do not want to adjust to the changes that Ebay is making. Thats your business, even you admitted that you will continue to buy there. Anyone that was truly protesting something would leave totally. As long as you are buying that is all I care about.
In business as well as most anything in life you either ADJUST OR DIE..
I think the biggest adjustment for all of us is going to be getting used to the lower Positive Feedback Percentages that we will be seeing even for Excellent Ebay Sellers. where in the past a Seller with say a 99.1% with over 1000 transactions may have been looked at as a "Shaky Seller" with this new system that may be pretty good. In real business situations its almost a given that 10% of your clientele will for one reason or another be dissatisfied with something and most owners accept "The 10% Rule" as part of doing business IMO

I agree, in my business, 90% customer satisfaction is the threshold...

I was happy to see the "boycott" last week. I had the best sales on Ebay I have ever had on there in one week.
Less competition is better for all sellers.
