    13 is always lucky.

I didn't read all the responses so if someone already said 13 then double it to 26.

    Thanks

I knew I should've folded preflop. Once I flop the flush draw I gotta go with it though. Out 130th. Alan nailed it with the first guess of the contest. Cards are coming your way, just pm me your address.

    Definitely a sweet win . . .

I love the Elway card , I am almost certain I don't have that card either !

That was a cool contest, too bad I fell asleep early last night image

  • Options
Honestly, I know nothing about these cards. Should I put them in my next sub?
  • Options
I don't know anything about them either , but would you be interested in moving the Elway , I was looking through all of my Elway's and I don't have it .

No, these are not submittable. They are black bordered and very succeptable to flaking, so most of them have touched corners and/or edges. It's a really tough set condition-wise.

I'm surprised you'ld risk all your money on a draw?

I only play for fun - but isn't that low % poker?

Stone, in theory you are correct, but there are other considerations such as stack sizes, how much is in the pot, and the preflop action. The logic behind my play is basically that I'll hit my flush about a third of the time with two cards to come, plus an ace gives me the pot so that's three more outs. Add to that the possibility of my opponents folding to my bet and it's an automatic bet. Also, I was shortstacked so I didn't have much choice in the matter. I had to pick a hand and just go with it, and this was a pretty good spot.

In this situation, it's much better than to make the all in bet rather than calling an all in bet.

    Understand Lee.

Didn't know you were shortstacked - earlier you had doubled up.

In that instance - I agree - taking a stand - going all in rather than calling it was worth the gamble when shortstacked.

Good luck in the next one.
