- Payton I really thought was a 9. Might give it a few more shots.
- Obviously I'm thrilled with the Jordan. No idea what a PSA 10 goes for, but it's a $75 card raw and this is only the 4th PSA 10. Rogermnj predicted this in this thread: Link
- The Lovellette was a raw ebay purchase at $16 and the last PSA 9 sold for $380. I think I did ok with this one.
- The Rices I thought could be 8s or 9s so I'm really happy with a 9 and 8.5. These came out of racks from DA cardworld.
- The Maravich was already graded an 8 but I thought it could be an 8.5 or 9 so I gave it another shot.
- The Dr. J I thought was a 10. Oh well, life goes on.

All in all, a great sub I think. Mildly disappointed with the Payton, but that's about it.

So basically my kid won't be able to go to college, but at least I'll have a set where the three most expensive cards are of a player I despise ~ CDsNuts

awesome job on the fleer team leader jordan. That is one ridiculously tough card in 10.. I was probably overshooting with the 1500 prediction but I am sure it will bring a pretty penny.

  • Nice sub Lee. Congrarts on the Jordan and the Lovette.

I'm most impressed by the psa 9 Rice. Tough card to land a 9 on. Congrats.
  • That is certainly not a bad submission/results. Kudos Lee!!!!!

Excellent Plop Plop ploppage Mr. CDsNuts !

You can't be too unhappy with those grades there ,

Specially the Jordan and the Rice

I should really try to dig up some of my 80's-90's basketball and see if I have any Jordans in there , I have never really paid much attention to the basketball cards at all but I kniow I have to have at least 2 shoe boxes of basketball from 80-90 here somewhere .

It would have been super cool to have gotten the old bump bumpity bump on the Maravich , as you say , maybe give it a few more shots .

Congratulations indeed on the mixed bag of goodies .

Thanks guys, I'm pretty happy with this one. It makes me feel all tingly in my nether regions. The greatest thing about this sub is that I used a buildup of vouchers I had from cards not meeting the minimum size in previous submissions, so it feels like all I had to do was pay shipping.
  • Again, great sub Lee.

By any chance is the 2 1 10992596 NEAR MINT-MINT+ 8.5 1986 TOPPS 161 JERRY RICE Card US for sale since you have the 9?
  • CDsNutsCDsNuts Posts: 10,092
Alan, thanks. Everything except the Payton is for sale, but an 8.5 Rice rookie has never sold before so I have no idea where to price it since an 8 sells for $40 and a 9 sells for $200. $80 maybe?

Here's a scan of both Rice's raw. I think the 8.5 is the one on the left. Both are centered really well:

Lee, what do you think the jordan will bring?
  • CDsNutsCDsNuts Posts: 10,092
I really have no clue. I would hope that there are some Jordan collectors out there that need it, but who the hell knows? I think I should put it up at a ridiculusly high BIN price ($2000?) with a best offer to get an idea. I can't remember a PSA 10 ever selling on ebay.
