90 something 10's out of 125... What a relief! I knew 20/20 vision was good for something and only (2) 8's yay. It's all Reds modern crap. That Votto minor league card made my day. Worth the wait!

    There are a few of you guys on these boards-- Eagle Eye, Onefasttalon, LMM and even Lee-- who seem to have a great eye for modern cards, and I think that's genuinely impressive. Even when I try my best I can't hit more than 30-45%, and that's on a great day.

    Same here man. I'm very consistant with pre-grading my vintage cards. I'm usually right on with that, but when it comes to modern, I'm all over the place. Especially when it comes to predicting between a 9 or a 10, that's pretty darn hard.

    Agreed. I've tried and tried, but I just can't do it. But the results of some of these board members suggest that it actually can be done. If our IQ's were higher (and our egos lower) we would all just send our cards to one of the resident hawkeyes for pregrading; just put a batch of cards and a $50 bill in the mail and let these guys do the sorting for us.

    I would send my cards to someone for PRE-grading for a fee.....

    Lee, I'm disappointed. If anyone here could appreciate a finely crafted left-handed compliment I thought it would be you. All kidding aside, however, I've always been impressed with your sub results as well.

    The pre-grading idea is pretty cool. I actually would consider doing something like that. I'm in the process of trying to figure out what kind of card-related business to pursue when I'm done with school late this year. The only issue I could see with pre-grading is being off and the card holder being mad, but disclosing that it's only an educated opinion might take care of those issues.

    As a devout Christian and dedicated family man I find this offensive on two levels: First, that insist on keeping the focus on my airport bathroom activities. And second, that you failed to mention my continued patronage and sustained popularity at the local YMCA. If you're going to paint a picture, Lee, paint the whole thing.
