1963 Fleer Football Set Ranked #9 All Time GPA 7.66

I am entertaining offers for the sale of this beautiful football set that has been my pride and joy since I started building it 8 years ago in 2000 and completed in 7.66 in 2007. I have many high end stars in this set and any scans you wish to acquire I will be happy to send them to you even if you would like front and back scans of all 88 cards. The set can be veiwed at "2dueces1963's." The first pack I ever opened was this set in 1963 when I lived in Buffalo and we did not have an NFL, but did have the World Champion Buffalo Bills for me to admire as a 7 year old . Over the years i have bought and sold over 200 cards to obtain the nicest centered cards I could afford. It was still a work in progress as centering is the toughest issue with this set. The key cards in this set are the Alworth RC HOF PSA 8 $450-600, Dawson RC HOF PSA 8 $400, NNO Checklist ( impossible card in high grade) PSA 7 $400, Jack Kemp former Vice President Candidate PSA 8 $200. 2 SP Dougherty PSA 8 $200 and Long PSA 7 $125. Some extremely low pop PSA 8's that range from $80-200, Hofers like Blanda, Mix, Otto and a host of other cards that are near impossible to find in high grade. The prices I'm quoting are not book pirces, but actual e-bay sales and prices are doing nothing but rising. One card Jim Colclough (a common low pop) recently sold for over $120 in a PSA 8. I know this is a lot of hype but the set is dear to me and I spent many years putting together this set as a labor of love. I will take any reasonable offers and as I would love to have a collector keep it together but I understand the break up value of this set. Just the cards I have mentioned value at $2500 and there are 60+ 7's (few) and 8's (mostly) valued between $30 and $100, (Maynard in PSA 8 to name 1.) I will entain any reasonable offer and please don't think your offer will insult me. If it fails to sell to one of our great collectors I will concider a major auction house. My e-bay name is 2dueces and if you need refences I'm sure there are many members here who have done high $ deals with me that can assure you of my integrity. I would appreciated any help in this troubling time with the health of my beautiful wife my main concern at this rime. As Jay Wolt has said and I quote, " We don't own this cards, we are only holding the for awhile." thanks for reading this long winded post. Your fellow collector. Joe

    Hi,

If you decided to break up, I'd be interested in seeing scans of the Buoniconti, Alworth and Dawson.

I would also have some interest if you end up breaking up the set.

Greg and Steve, Thank you for your interest. I will keep you in mind if I decide to break it. I might entertain offers from an auction house to keep it together, but you never know. Joe
