  • I always wondered about GIA's "First graded" on their slabs.

    is there a premium associated with these?

  • Thats funny, they are looking for $275 for an 8.5. Just last month I paid $306 for a 9, lol.
  • I don't find the "first graded" thing to be of any value. Who cares if your card was the first one graded. I suppose if it was a '52 Mantle or some other "famous" card, it might be cool, but overall, I think it's kind of lame.

    I agree 100%. I was just wondering if the market is dictating any kind of premium on these.

    Perhaps that's why he's asking so much for his 8.5?
